It has bitumen road and school bus to the front gate. Old Bonalbo has a primary school, post office, shop, engineer and church. Bonalbo is 23 kilometres and has a hospital, chemist, high school, butcher, hardware, newsagent, garage, small supermarket etc. Casino is 97 km and Lismore is 120 kilometres.
For the nature lovers, beautiful Richmond Range National Park is behind the property.
The timber house has 3 bedrooms, 3 verandas and a covered outdoor entertainment area with a cob oven. The kitchen has a large walk-in pantry and beautiful slab bench. The bathroom has been renovated and there is a separate septic toilet. Rainfall averages 1070mm annually along with plentiful water supplied from a permanent creek, 2 dams and 2 x 22000L tanks. One tank, a dam and the house are gravity fed from a permanent spring. The house, shed, ex-dairy and cottage have mains power and also feed/buy back solar power. The ex-dairy also has 3-phase power. Hot water is solar with fuel stove backup. Satellite broadband and TV are currently in use. Satellite broadband is far superior to the dial up we had and the cost depends on the amount of download you require. Our scheme is about mid-range I think, and is $49 per month.

Flooding: The river flat does flood at times but never the rest of the property. The bridge goes under water on occasions but generally never more than for 24 hours. Being relatively self-sufficient this has never been a problem for us. The property is in three levels. Our elevation is 200 meters at the river flat, 220 at the house flat and 280 on the top flat.
