I designed and organise a service called Loveworks, which supplies conventional and alternative first aid, drug and alcohol support, massage, natural therapies, energetic healing and lots of information on alternative services including meditation, retreats, philosophy, spiritualism, religion, natural therapies, etc, etc - to young people at their events. Our biggest event is Sydney's Big Day Out where we have over 200 volunteers working and have more than 6000 kids through our two main stations. I would like to do more to turn them on to meditation - with more hand-outs, and perhaps some ongoing meditation circles through the day. Any ideas? Do check out the website, feel free to fill in a volunteer application, and/or get in touch with me - contact details are on the website. If you are interested in getting involved in a bigger way, read the newsletter - http://www.loveworks.com.au/index1.htm, for information about our new board of directors and future projects.

Hi Ona,
in reply to your newsletter we have two people here, Ms Zhane Smith and Mr Brian Salter, would like to volunteer for the Loveworks Drug and Alcohol volunteers for the Big Day Out.
We both work at the Medically Supervised Injecting Centre, have substantial experience in the field of social welfare, Harm Reduction philosophies etc. Documentation can be forwarded when required. My e-mail is zhanesmith@hotmail.com should you require a contact point.
We are chilled, compassionate and proactive members of our service and have a strong committment to alternate therapies and philosophies.
Happy to hear there are people with this forethought.

Await your reply,

zhane
