	Rob Mortimer and Carmel Lacy purchased "Carrowong Fauna Sanctuary" around 9 years ago in a bid to preserve one of the last remaining Cassowary habitats in Australia. The Cassowary is a unique bird species threatened with extinction due to habitat destruction. The land was previously owned by a local logging company and destined for the axe. Rob and Carmel have built a business on preservation and exploration of the regions natural flora and fauna and the regions many wildlife attractions.
